Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects in partnership with Los Angeles County, Los Angeles Airport, the City of Long Beach, and the Port of Long Beach. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field (required), a Master's degree (), and a proven track record in managing multimillion-dollar construction projects.

Experience in design and preconstruction planning is essential for this role.

• 1. Project Management
  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals.
• 2. Design and Preconstruction Planning
  • Review and provide input on project designs to ensure feasibility, compliance, and alignment with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with design teams to optimize functionality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of project plans.
  • Evaluate and integrate innovative construction methods and technologies.
• 3. Budget and Cost Control
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes for materials and services.
• 4. Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local construction regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing workplace safety policies and procedures.
• 5. Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Resolve conflicts and facilitate communication among all team members.
• 6. Stakeholder Engagement

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (required).
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline ().

• Minimum of 7 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects, particularly those exceeding $10 million in budget.
• Strong background in construction design, including preconstruction planning and analysis.
• Experience working on projects for public entities, including counties, airports, cities, or ports.

• Proficient in project management software (e.g., "Procore, MS Project") and design tools (e.g., "AutoCAD, Revit").
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Familiarity with Los Angeles County, Los Angeles Airport, City of Long Beach, and Port of Long Beach construction protocols.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or CCM are a plus.
