Project Manager or Head of Operations
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager or Head of Operations to lead and improve the delivery of construction projects from planning through completion. This person will bring strong operational discipline, commercial awareness, and a practical, on-site understanding of construction.
About the RoleYou will oversee project execution across schedules, budgets, teams, subcontractors, suppliers, quality, and safety-while building scalable systems that improve how work gets done.
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end delivery of construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
- Coordinate internal teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, resolve risks and issues quickly, and keep work on track.
- Own operational performance across multiple projects or business functions, as applicable.
- Establish and improve processes for estimating, procurement, scheduling, reporting, change orders, quality control, and project documentation.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships, including scope, performance, cost, and delivery.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable safety standards, building codes, permits, and contractual requirements.
- Provide clear, regular reporting on project and operational performance to senior leadership and clients.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, site teams, and operational staff.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, reduce delays, strengthen accountability, and scale operations.
- Significant experience in construction project management, operations, or a comparable leadership role.
- Proven success delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, procurement, contracts, cost control, and change management.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, teams, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to build operational processes and lead through growth or change.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgment in fast-moving, high-accountability environments.
- Proficiency with project management, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting tools.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience welcomed.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED, or equivalent are a plus.
- Projects are consistently delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Teams have clear ownership, reliable systems, and strong communication.
- Costs, risks, and delays are identified early and managed proactively.
- Clients and partners experience a well-organized, dependable delivery process.
- Operations become more efficient, scalable, and profitable over time.
You are a hands-on, highly organized construction leader who can move comfortably between site-level detail and executive-level planning. You bring calm structure to complex work, build trust with teams and partners, and take ownership of results.
