Location: Encino, Los Angeles, CA. Primarily assigned to active project sites, with travel based on project requirements

US-Offsite is a modular design-build manufacturer and general contractor helping developers complete high-quality modular projects with greater speed, cost predictability, and control. Through USO Building Co., our construction division integrates factory-built modules with site preparation, vertical construction, subcontractor coordination, installation, and final project turnover.

USO Building Co. is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for projects in Encino and throughout the Los Angeles area.

This position serves as the primary on-site leader and is accountable for the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of construction activities from initial mobilization through final completion.

The Superintendent will oversee subcontractors and internal field personnel, manage short-term schedules, coordinate modular deliveries and setting operations, enforce jobsite safety standards, organize site logistics, monitor workmanship, and ensure construction is completed in accordance with project documents and company expectations.

The successful candidate will be a confident and highly organized field leader who takes ownership of jobsite performance, communicates effectively with project stakeholders, solves problems quickly, and maintains high standards for safety, schedule, quality, documentation, and site presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Leadership and Scheduling

  • Direct daily construction activities and maintain overall responsibility for field execution from mobilization through project closeout
  • Implement the master project schedule and prepare detailed weekly look-ahead plans
  • Communicate upcoming work, required manpower, inspections, deliveries, equipment needs, and critical site activities
  • Coordinate subcontractors, USO field employees, material deliveries, equipment, cranes, and other project resources
  • Identify potential delays, schedule conflicts, and field constraints before they affect project milestones
  • Work with the Project Manager to develop and implement corrective actions and schedule-recovery plans
  • Plan and coordinate modular transportation, staging, crane operations, module setting, installation, and sequencing
Safety and Site Security
  • Administer the project-specific safety program in compliance with USO procedures and applicable OSHA requirements
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, recurring safety meetings, site inspections, and emergency-preparedness activities
  • Enforce personal protective equipment requirements throughout the jobsite
  • Immediately correct unsafe practices or conditions
  • Document and report incidents promptly and accurately
  • Maintain jobsite security and protect tools, stored materials, equipment, installed work, and completed construction
Site Logistics and Organization
  • Create and maintain project logistics plans
  • Coordinate site access points, staging locations, delivery routes, traffic management, crane placement, and equipment movement
  • Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and professionally presented construction site
  • Protect finished and partially completed work from weather, damage, construction activity, and interference from other trades
Quality Control and Inspections
  • Inspect work regularly to confirm compliance with project drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and manufacturer requirements
  • Coordinate municipal inspections, third-party testing, surveys, and required quality-assurance activities
  • Identify workmanship issues and ensure corrective work is completed promptly
  • Develop, track, and manage punch-list items through completion
  • Confirm outstanding items are resolved before final turnover
Subcontractor and Team Coordination
  • Direct subcontractors and USO field teams while confirming adequate staffing, supervision, productivity, and workmanship
