Job Description

Experience: Senior Level

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year

• Review and analyze civil, architectural, and landscape plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and pricing proposals for commercial landscape construction projects.
• Review and validate material pricing, subcontractor proposals, and internal takeoffs for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop labor, equipment, and production cost estimates.
• Identify project risks, technical challenges, and logistical considerations during the estimating process.
• Prepare estimates throughout various design phases, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Lead and coordinate responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Communicate and negotiate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure smooth project transitions after award.

• 5+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry, preferably in landscape construction, site development, or civil construction.
• Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience preparing detailed estimates for projects at various stages of design.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
