Position Overview & Key Responsibilitie
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial electrical construction projects
  • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously at various stages of the bidding process while meeting strict submission deadlines
  • Perform comprehensive quantity takeoffs and material pricing utilizing industry-standard estimating software
  • Review electrical plans, specifications, drawings, addenda, and project documentation to accurately define project scope
  • Interpret lighting plans, power distribution systems, panel schedules, riser diagrams, one‑line drawings, and related electrical documents
  • Analyze architectural and structural drawings to identify scope gaps, coordination issues, and estimating risks
  • Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding pricing, scope clarifications, and revisions
  • Review and track RFIs, design changes, and addenda throughout the bidding process
  • Develop accurate labor, equipment, and material budgets to ensure competitive and profitable proposals
  • Support ongoing client relationships through professional communication and responsiveness during the preconstruction phase
  • Contribute to a fast‑paced estimating department responsible for a significant annual bid volume across multiple commercial projects
Qualifications & Require men
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of commercial electrical estimating experienc
  • Proven experience preparing estimates for commercial electrical construction projects ranging from several million dollars in valu
  • Strong proficiency with Accu Bid and Bluebeam softwar
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, riser diagrams, one‑line drawings, lighting layouts, and power distribution system
  • Experience reviewing architectural and structural drawings to ensure complete scope coverag
  • Thorough understanding of specifications, addenda management, RFIs, and revision trackin
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detai
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a high‑volume estimating environmen
  • Self‑motivated professional capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with project teams and leadershi
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and general contractor
  • Stable work history demonstrating reliability, accountability, and long‑term commitment to previous employer
  • Experience in commercial electrical construction is required; candidates whose background is primarily focused on solar projects will not be considere
