D'Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a Project Manager in Los Angeles, California
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple capital improvement projects from planning through project closeout.
- Coordinate project activities with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, utility providers, and County stakeholders.
- Develop, monitor, and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
- Review and coordinate the preparation of construction documents, plans, specifications, and technical deliverables.
- Lead project meetings and communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to clients and stakeholders.
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and safety expectations.
- Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain project objectives.
- Coordinate permitting, jurisdictional approvals, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Support project commissioning, punch list completion, project closeout, and turnover documentation.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive project management experience managing municipal infrastructure or public facility projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Licensed Professional (PE, RA, etc.) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through planning, design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope, and consultant/contractor performance.
- Strong knowledge of construction document review, project controls, and change management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and effectively facilitate meetings with diverse stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of CEQA and NEPA environmental compliance requirements.
