Overview
Cordoba Corporation, a leading engineering firm in California, is hiring an Office Engineer III to support our facilities projects with LAWA. The ideal candidate will oversee detailed construction documentation, manage RFIs and submittals, and ensure adherence to engineering standards. They will facilitate communication across project teams and perform site inspections to confirm field conditions and track progress. Must have at least 15 years of experience and hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or another related field.
Responsibilities- Maintain organized and detailed construction files, project records, and logs.
- Track, document, and manage project issues and conditions, including the construction RFI and submittal process.
- Provide and coordinate technical and administrative information to others working on a project to ensure compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.
- Perform site walks to verify field conditions and develop progress or status reports.
- Maintain project files and logs, including correspondence, contractor invoices, progress statements, change orders, claims, timesheets, and extra services.
- Coordinate progress meetings with contractors, project managers, and field staff; prepare agendas, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Fifteen (15) years or more of experience, preferably on airport projects; demonstrable specialized experience or area of expertise.
- Proven engineering and construction knowledge of all aspects of airfield airport construction.
- Familiarity with construction management tools and software.
- Excellent skills in document control, contract documentation, and monitoring inspection requests from tenants/contractors on a daily basis.
- Experience filing and reviewing RFIs, submittals, and basic plan reading.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (capable of creating logs, charts, etc.).
- Licensed Engineer (preferably by CA Board of Engineers).
- Optional certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PMP, or other relevant professional licensure or certification.
- Some knowledge and experience of airport construction.
Salary range: $115,000 to $130,400.
