HDR is providing Construction Management Support Services Consultant (CMSS) at the direction of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA). The Scope of Services of the CMSS is to support the design reviews, construction management, and administration of the construction contract(s) associated with various capital improvements projects (Projects), and to ensure that the construction of these Projects is administered and completed in compliance with contract requirements and government regulations.

One of the Key projects that HDR is supporting LACMTA is The LA Metro Vermont Transit Corridor Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, a 12.4-mile, side-running, zero-emission transit line running along Vermont Avenue from Sunset Boulevard to 120th Street, scheduled to open in 2028.

LACMTA expects that the CMSS staff will be part of a fully integrated construction project team with LACMTA in the support project office. CMSS staff shall have the specialized technical and administrative expertise to assist and support the services described herein and to perform the necessary project reporting requirements and control procedures established by the LACMTA. In the performance of the Scope of Services, CMSS staff shall adhere to and comply with all LACMTA current policies and procedures.

CMSS staff, as part of a construction project team, shall respond to and receive functional direction from LACMTA staff on their day-to-day performance of the Scope of Services consistent with the organizational chart.

Construction Inspector shall be experienced in the type of construction required for rail, bus, highways, joint development and transit facilities. Under the direction of the Field Engineer or Lead Inspector or Senior Construction Inspector performs a wide variety of construction inspection work in a field setting.
