Designer & Organizer

Collective UNBound is a start-up design justice Social Purpose Corporation in Los Angeles seeking an individual to be a co-creator as the organization enters its growth stage. We are seeking a Designer + Organizer with 2 to 5 years of architecture or design experience, to support community-centered design projects and engagements.

This role is design-forward, with a strong emphasis on producing clear, thoughtful drawings and visual materials informed by community engagement. You’ll work closely with project leads and community partners to translate community input into design concepts, documentation, and presentations.

This position is ideal for someone who takes initiative, follows through on details, and wants to strengthen their design skills while participating in participatory and public-facing processes.

Compensation is commensurate with the individuals work, lived experience, talent, and alignment with the organization.

Ideal candidates are LA-based or with deep roots within LA communities. It is a hybrid position where in-person work expectations are focused on in-person client and community relationship building.
