The MissionNew Power Studios is a venture-backed narrative powerhouse scaling from a creator-led startup to a $100M media enterprise. We are the architects of Black Veil, a premium narrative thriller/horror universe. We are looking for a rare hybrid: a high-velocity Senior Post-Production Supervisor with the elite creative intuition of a Lead Storyteller. Your mission is to dismantle our current editorial bottlenecks, manage a multi-department asset relay, and creatively mastermind a 20-episode backlog within your first 30 days.
The RoleYou aren't just cutting film; you are building the factory and shaping its soul. You will own the entire pipeline from "Media Ingest" to "Locked Picture," coordinating technical handoffs between VFX and Sound to ensure a relentless weekly release schedule. More importantly, you will serve as the CEO’s creative proxy in the edit bay. You must possess the intuitive genius to look at a bin of raw footage, find the tension, manipulate the pacing, and deliver a cut that perfectly matches the CEO's taste and vision.
Key Responsibilities- The Creative Mind-Meld: Lead the edit on flagship narrative content. You must instinctively understand thriller aesthetics, psychological tension, J/L cuts, and how to use silence and pacing to manipulate an audience's heart rate without needing shot-by-shot direction.
- Pipeline Command: Design and enforce a professional "Asset Relay" system that allows VFX (Sean) and Sound (Dominic) to work in parallel, not sequence.
- Backlog Destruction: Immediately take over the 20+ filmed episodes of Black Veil, ingest the footage, and aggressively drive them to completion.
- Quality Control (QC): Act as the final gatekeeper. The CEO should only see a "Director’s Cut" that is 95% ready for air—both technically flawless and creatively gripping.
- Short-Form Engine: Oversee the Content Manager to ensure every long-form episode yields 10–18 high-impact vertical shorts (Tik Tok/Reels).
- Experience: 5+ years in professional post-production (Narrative, TV, or high-end Digital). Your reel MUST demonstrate a mastery of tension, pacing, and emotional rhythm. We do not want standard corporate/vlog editors; we need cinematic storytellers.
- Technical Mastery: Expert in DaVinci Resolve. Ability to manage complex XML/AAF workflows, proxy generation, and server architecture.
- Leadership: Experience managing other editors or remote VFX/Sound contractors.
- Location: Must be able to work out of our Calabasas office daily. We believe the speed of local collaboration and "in-the-room" creative mind-melding is our greatest competitive advantage.
- Full-Time Salary (High Stability) Base Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 / year (approx. $1,730 – $2,300/week).
