Job Description
The Art Director concepts and executes designs for assigned brands and projects taking into account brand guidelines, campaign goals, and current trends. They are responsible for: image selection, cropping, retouching, typography, understanding and complying with messaging, messaging hierarchy, and overall design. They should be aware of any and all specs and requirements for final outputs.

They should be aware of any and all specs and requirements for final outputs.
Process StewardshipArt Directors should uphold the internal processes and workflows around creative tasks and be deeply integrated with each account’s team. They make sure that all communications and points have been addressed, ‘defend’ creative choices when necessary, and give recommendations to make client work better based on knowledge, experience, and best practices.
ResponsibilitiesThe following is a summary of general job responsibilities, this summary is not all-inclusive and may be broadened or changed to meet changing business needs.
- Conceptualize, design, and produce elevated creative concepts designed for digital and social media based on clients’ business objectives and brand requirements
- Participate in brainstorms, maintain and uphold branding and campaign creative, provide cohesive support for client and project needs
- Illustrate concepts by articulating strategies into visual social and digital content in a way that inspires audiences to engage
- Research brands, products, artists, and/or services for insights needed to develop new, better, and different creative concepts
- Support the Creative department by ensuring the work reflects the clients’ business objectives and brand requirements as set forth in supporting brand and strategy documents and briefs
- Participate in new business pitches with high‑paced ideation and design sprints
- Handle multiple design projects simultaneously across various formats including Social Media Channels (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, & Tik Tok), Google Display, Web (web banner ads, Word Press), and Print (i.e., brochures, posters), and presentation decks
- Work with Project Managers to properly categorize and organize visual assets in Dropbox
- Be proactive in contributing ideas towards the development of our clients’ brand(s) and initiatives
- Maintain and evolve technical knowledge as is necessary for changing and evolving client needs
Advanced understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, Graphic Design Skills, Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere Pro, Mastery of Layout and Design, Knowledge of Creative Services, A keen sense of Customer Focus, Creativity, Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Orientation, Acute Creative Vision, Ability to Take Constructive Criticism, Fun, Approachable, Self-starter and Team Player.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Proficient in CS - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere and/or Final Cut
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Animate, and/or Aero is a plus
- Keen attention to detail and pride in polishing deliverables
- High sense of organization, self-motivation, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A keen eye for detail, typography, color, and alignment
- Exceptional design portfolio of recognizable work for high-profile clients
