Writer/ProducerOverview / Role Details
A rare opportunity to join the award‑winning CBS LA in‑house creative team in Los Angeles, California. Must possess a true passion for creating unique visual multi‑platform marketing in a :30, :20, :10, :05 and rapidly changing digital, social, and streaming world.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, produce, and write promotional material for CBS LA in support of the brand and Creative Services team
- Plan, write and fully produce compelling short‑form image, promotional spots, topicals, and long‑form content and digital / OTT projects as assigned.
- Storytelling and crafting promos that have high production value
- Manage multiple projects under occasional extreme deadline pressure.
- 5+ years of experience
- Not an entry‑level position; previous news marketing experience strongly encouraged, with emphasis on digital/social production.
- Experience editing and creating with Premiere and occasional After Effects; ability to supervise graphics production, select and edit music and properly mix sound within projects.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Deliver network quality work under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Willingness to join the WGA.
- A creative reel or links to work clearly demonstrating original concepts and writing and advanced post‑production knowledge with a focus on Adobe Premiere.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and time‑management skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong team player who adds personality and talent to the department of Producers, Photographers, Editors and Designers.
Hiring Salary Range: $81,950.00 - $87,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
