We are seeking two Accessory Designers to join a Los Angeles–based team, one focused on women’s category and other for men’s accessories.
This is a full-time, in-office role for a mid to senior-level designer. You will report to the Design Director and collaborate closely with the Merchandising Manager. You will own the process from initial concept through tech packs and product development, with a strong focus on vector graphics, all‑over prints, and occasionally creating original artwork.
What You’ll Do- Research and identify current trends in handbags and accessories, compiling findings into clear presentations for creative direction.
- Research and develop new print and graphic directions, and brief in‑house or freelance Graphic Designers on new projects.
- Use Adobe Illustrator to sketch new accessory bodies and styles, applying accurate construction details and incorporating color, fabric textures, plaids, stripes, prints, and graphics into cohesive assortments.
- Work extensively with prints and graphics in Illustrator and Photoshop, including researching, creating direction, recoloring, editing, scaling, placement on product, and pitching concepts.
- Create detailed tech packs and BOMs and follow them through development into production with strong attention to detail.
- Communicate development status and needs with cross‑functional partners, vendors, factories, and freelance designers.
- Own new SMU (Special Make‑Up) projects and line sheets for accessories.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support the design and product development process.
A team player with a positive, can‑do attitude who takes direction well, collaborates across teams, and brings fresh, creative ideas to the table within a fast‑paced, streetwear‑inspired environment.
Qualifications- 3–5 years of design experience, ideally focused on handbags and/or fashion accessories.
- Strong hands‑on skills in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop; proficiency in Excel.
- Experience using AI (artificial intelligence) tools to support and inspire the design process is a plus.
- Portfolio website and relevant work samples are required.
- Must be able to work in person in Los Angeles; local candidates only.
If you have solid accessories background, love working with prints and graphics, and enjoy taking product from concept to production, this role offers an opportunity to help shape a growing brand’s accessory category.
