Business Unit and Scope
Presentations Design Team in the Business Unit of Presentations and Graphics. The role focuses on conceptualizing and designing high‑impact investment banking pitch books for clients in Los Angeles, while ensuring consistency and quality of documents across PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Responsibilities- Design and execute PowerPoint pitch books and client presentations.
- Apply and update client templates with consistency and technical formatting.
- Create company‑branded and client charts, graphs, tables, icons, and infographics.
- Develop fully functional client‑branded PowerPoint templates.
- Implement design principles—layout, alignment, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy—to produce visually appealing and effective presentations.
- Perform photo retouching and manipulation.
- Create logos, reprise or vectorize existing logos.
- Design or recreate detailed and complex maps (e.g., shale, oil, pipelines).
- Design print collateral such as invitations, signage, and banners.
- Format Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.
- Handle other similar presentation design or document‑formatting requests.
- 2+ years of experience as a Presentation Designer or similar role creating and editing financial documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel (non‑technical), and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Strong experience designing infographics, financial charts, tables, and graphs.
- Ability to work independently on a project or collaboratively as a team player and integrate with a diverse team with varying opinions and ideas.
- Creative problem‑solving to produce professional, aesthetically pleasing layouts while maintaining company identity standards.
- Proficiency with a job ticketing system, work well under pressure, and make quick sound decisions.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously within tight deadlines.
- Research skills: knowing the places to look and managing time efficiently.
- Strong aptitude to acclimatize and learn quickly.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphics, Business, or a related field.
Houlihan Lokey offers a competitive total compensation package that may include discretionary incentive compensation. The estimated salary range for this role at the time of posting is $31.25 – $36.05 per hour. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided.
