The Production Technical Designer serves as a key liaison between Design and Production teams, helping translate the creative vision into, production-ready garments that meet the brand’s standards for fit, quality, craftsmanship and execution.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of garment construction, patterns, and fit, along with excellent communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills. This individual will work collaboratively across Design and Production, lead production fittings, develop and maintain technical documentation, and help ensure garments move efficiently and accurately through the pre-production process.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the Monique Lhuillier brand aesthetic, craftsmanship, quality standards, and product vision, ensuring alignment with the company’s design philosophy.

• 3–5 years of experience in luxury Ready-to-Wear and/or Bridal apparel and textiles.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, patterns, fit, and sewing techniques.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow processes, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Comfortable working hands-on with sewers, cutters, pattern makers, marking and grading, and model fittings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel; knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred.
• Experience leading or coordinating a Pre-Production Team preferred.

• Lead production fittings and take detailed fit notes.
• Create and maintain production tech packs from first fit through production.
• Spec garments, measure, fit, and document revisions.
• Communicate garment construction and sewing techniques to internal and external partners.
• Apply knowledge of basic pattern making and pattern corrections.
• Review contractor T.O.P. samples for fit, construction, and quality.
• Partner closely with Design and Production to ensure garments meet brand standards and production timelines.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000. The actual rate offered will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant knowledge, skills, experience, qualifications, and other permissible factors, consistent with applicable law.
