Overview

At HDR, our employee‑owners are fully engaged in creating a welcoming environment where each of us is valued and respected, a place where everyone is empowered to bring their authentic selves and novel ideas to work every day. We foster a culture of inclusion throughout our company and within our communities, constantly asking ourselves what our impact on the world is.

Each role throughout our organization makes a difference in our ability to change the world for the better.

Responsibilities

As Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for design in all phases of a project, demonstrating master‑level knowledge of the interior design process from programming through construction administration. You will lead the interior design team on projects of any size or complexity, delegating and supervising the work of others. You must have professional communication, presentation, and client‑management skills, and the ability to clearly document and present design concepts to all project stakeholders and industry peers.

You will be a team player focused on collaboration with a consistently positive attitude despite challenging circumstances.

This role requires leveraging technology to present and document ideas. You will often work without direct design support, especially in smaller offices, so the ability to produce presentation materials and associated documentation is essential. Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up/Rhino (or similar), Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • LEED AP
  • WELL AP
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant design‑firm environment
  • NCIDQ certificate holder
  • in the state or province where applicable
