This is a leadership position with real influence—shaping how design ideas become architectural reality across hospitality, experiential, multifamily, and branded interior projects. The successful candidate will work closely with CRA Principals, Design Directors, and Senior Designers while mentoring production staff and guiding projects from concept through completion.

  • Oversee and manage space planning, interior architecture, and documentation for large-scale hospitality and commercial interiors
  • Guide and mentor internal production staff and coordinate with outsourced drafting teams
  • Collaborate closely with designers, FF&E teams, consultants, and clients to ensure design integrity
  • Maintain quality control across all deliverables, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and consistency
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary workflows with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors
  • Support construction administration including submittals, RFIs, ASIs, and site coordination
  • Help advance CRA’s production standards, workflows, and use of emerging technologies (including AI tools)
  • Contribute to a culture of design excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of professional experience in interior architecture and hospitality design (strongly desired)
  • Strong background in hospitality, experiential, and large commercial interiors
  • Proven ability to lead interior architectural production from concept through execution
  • Exceptional attention to detail and technical rigor
  • Ability to convert design ideas into clear architectural systems and documentation
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial studio environment
  • A “do what it takes” mindset with a desire to grow personally and help grow the firm
Technical & Design Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, detailing, and materials
  • Experience coordinating outsourced production teams
  • Ability to space-plan complex interiors at scale
  • Hand sketching and drawing skills a plus
  • Familiarity with FF&E coordination and integration into architectural documents
  • Interest in leveraging new tools and technologies, including AI, to improve workflows
Education & Credentials
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program
  • Professional licensure is a plus but not required
