OVERVIEW

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. LAFC is dedicated to building a world-class soccer club that represents the diversity of Los Angeles and is committed to delivering an unrivaled experience for fans. LAFC's ownership group is comprised of local leaders and innovators of industry with intellectual capital, financial prowess, operations expertise, and success in the fields of entertainment, sports, technology, and media.

LAFC is invested in the world's game and Los Angeles, constructing, and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.

POSITION SUMMARY

LAFC Internship Program aims to provide students with the opportunity to apply university teachings to a real-world setting in the business of professional sports and live entertainment. Throughout the program, students will be given the opportunity to receive mentorship and shadow key industry leaders, but also able to ideate and execute upon their learning goals. Participants will be given a final capstone project to work on in conjunction with hands on experience during the internship.

Interns will present their final capstone project to a panel at the end of the program.

Additional program details:

* 8-week hybrid summer internship program from June 16th to August 11th

* Part-time opportunity with a commitment of 30 hours/week

* Interns will be compensated at $19/hour

Candidates must meet the following requirements to participate in the program:

* Be eligible to receive college credit for the internship

* Applicants, including international students, must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa

Knowledge and skill requirements:

* Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask, organize and prioritize work

* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality

* Computer skills and knowledge of Google Docs and social media platforms

LAFC is currently operating on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 1-2 in-office days per week. Please note that this may vary by role, and your scheduled in-office days are up to the discretion of your supervisor.

LEARNING GOALS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

As a Marketing Intern at LAFC, you will be immersed in the day-to-day lifecycle of a professional sports marketing department. This role is designed to provide a 360-degree view of how a brand operates, offering tangible experience in everything from digital strategy to physical merchandise and community engagement.

* Cross-Functional Strategy:
Supporting the development and execution of campaigns across social media, digital platforms, retail/merchandise, and community initiatives.

* Operational Excellence:
Assisting in the creation and implementation of team-wide processes to streamline project workflows and departmental communication.

* Market Research &

Innovation: Conducting competitive analysis and researching emerging trends-specifically within influencer marketing and fan engagement-to help shape future LAFC campaigns.

* Data-Driven Insights:
Analyzing and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to help the team evaluate the success of marketing efforts and partner collaborations.

* Strategic Goal Setting:
Collaborating on the development of departmental goals that align with broader club priorities and long-term brand growth.

* Executive Reporting:
Assisting in the design of high-level templates and reporting documents used to communicate marketing wins and insights to senior leadership.
