The PositionOperative Office is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Designer to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Junior Designer, you will be involved in all phases of projects from Concept Design through Construction Documents under the direction of the Design Principal and project team. You will assist in the design, coordination and documentation of mid‑rise, affordable multi‑family projects as well as community‑serving civic and commercial projects.
Candidates must exhibit strong team collaboration and communication skills, as well as demonstrate a thoughtful approach to conceptual design.

Qualifications- Bachelor of Architecture or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Minimum 1+ years of professional design experience in an architecture office
- Strong design sense with strong graphic and technical skills including proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, rendering software (V‑Ray, Enscape, or Twinmotion), physical model‑making, and Adobe Creative Suite software. Proficiency in Revit is a plus.
- Experience with multifamily affordable housing a plus
- Self‑motivated with a strong desire to be involved in all aspects of a project
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
- Resident of Los Angeles or in the vicinity of Los Angeles required for a hybrid work environment with a minimum of four days per week in the office
