Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Staff Architect to join our dynamic team in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of commercial interior projects, collaborating with engineers, landscape architects, project managers, and construction professionals to bring the firm’s projects to completion.

As part of the team, you’ll work on projects from the initial site selection through project completion and occupancy. This position offers opportunities for professional growth, including mentorship toward understanding project development and the built environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on architectural design development, schematics, and detailed construction drawings for commercial interior projects.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, ensuring compliance with local building codes and construction budgets.
  • Manage consultants including MEP engineers, structural engineers, etc.
  • Coordinate with and report to the firm’s director of design and principals on project plans, schedules and status.
  • Conduct site visits for construction observation, coordinate with contractors, manage and address requests for information throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in project budgeting, scheduling, and coordination.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in architecture, with emphasis on permitting construction documents and construction observation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest version) and Revit.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
