As a Traveling Medical Assistant, you will be a part of the Day of Evaluation Team. You will engage with our doctors and applicants at our clinic sites within your territory. Your role will include delivering a high level of customer service and physician support throughout the medical evaluation and offering administrative support before, during and post examination. To be successful in this position, you must enjoy collaborating and being part of a team, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving skills, deliver outstanding support to the physician/applicant, have a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed.
The Traveling Medical Assistant (TMA) role makes a difference in the experience we offer to physicians by providing a unique blend of skills and knowledge to conduct the scheduled evaluation. Traveling Medical Assistants are multiskilled professionals responsible for performing both administrative and minimal clinical tasks while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a positive physician/applicant engagement. The TMA is also expected to actively participate in quality improvement efforts with an emphasis on the importance of the individual claimant and physician.

MDpanel’s physicians, and therefore our medical assistants, provide services every day of the week (Monday – Sunday). Our team works collaboratively to build schedules that support both your needs and team goals.
Work settingAssigned office space based on day of evaluation needs. Offices may be located up to 2 hours from your home address. MDpanel approved scrubs are required attire as an TMA.
EssentialRoles and Responsibilities
- Arrive to all shifts as scheduled and fulfill them in their entirety.
- Arrive in advance, prepared with all resources required for the day of evaluation.
- Ensure the clinic is open, clean, and prepared for applicants and physicians to arrive.
- Welcome applicants upon arrival, verifying their identity, and directing them to the correct location.
- Greet the physician and ensure they have what they require from MDpanel for their day of evaluations.
- Ensure all forms and patient/applicant intake are completed in advance of the evaluation.
- Support the physician with taking vitals and measurements which include blood pressure, weight, height, among others, as requested by the physician.
- Ensure the day’s schedule is being kept, adjusting it based on no-shows or late arrivals, where necessary.
