Per Diem | Hybrid in Los Angeles, California

Position Details

  • Schedules vary based on individual school needs.
  • Skills needed in elementary school experience, middle/high school experience, math/science/STEM and ELA background.

Responsibilities
  • Host dynamic and collaborative planning conferences that unleash the creative potential of educators.
  • Coach, train, and mentor teachers individually/one‑on‑one.
  • Craft creative example lessons that captivate students.
  • Lead interactive professional development workshops when needed.
  • Research and demonstrate instructional strategies.
  • Foster a culture of active participation and vibrant open discussions.
  • Ensure all educator development is completed successfully.
  • Provide report documentation as required.
  • Communicate actively with directors regarding activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The positive, enthusiastic Professional Development Specialist we seek has these qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience teaching math, literacy, science or other relevant curriculum.
  • Experience delivering professional development workshops to adult educators.
  • Experience coaching teachers and/or school leaders either cognitively, instructionally or within a specific content‑area focus in mind.
  • Must live in Los Angeles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
