Middle & High School Special Education Teacher (Moderate/Severe – Extensive Needs Support)
Green Dot Public Schools is seeking passionate Special Education Teachers (Moderate/Severe – Extensive Needs Support) for the 2026–27 school year. What You’ll Do- Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Develop and implement IEP-aligned instruction and goals
- Provide specialized academic instruction and behavior supports
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress and use data to inform instruction
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
- Contribute to a positive, student-centered school culture
- Strong understanding of special education instructional strategies
- Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and high expectations for all students
- Ability to pass TB test and background check
- California Education Specialist Credential (Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs), OR
- California Education Specialist Intern Credential (intern-eligible), OR
- Eligible for STSP or PIP with valid CPR certification
Out-of-state or non-credentialed candidates should review eligibility through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Compensation- Credentialed teachers: $71,085 – $127,985
- Intern-eligible/non-credentialed teachers: $62,316 – $63,866
