Middle & High School Special Education Teacher (Moderate/Severe – Extensive Needs Support)

Green Dot Public Schools is seeking passionate Special Education Teachers (Moderate/Severe – Extensive Needs Support) for the 2026–27 school year. • Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Develop and implement IEP-aligned instruction and goals
• Provide specialized academic instruction and behavior supports
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Monitor student progress and use data to inform instruction
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
• Contribute to a positive, student-centered school culture

• Strong understanding of special education instructional strategies
• Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and high expectations for all students
• Ability to pass TB test and background check

• California Education Specialist Credential (Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs), OR
• California Education Specialist Intern Credential (intern-eligible), OR
• Eligible for STSP or PIP with valid CPR certification

Out-of-state or non-credentialed candidates should review eligibility through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

• Credentialed teachers: $71,085 – $127,985
• Intern-eligible/non-credentialed teachers: $62,316 – $63,866
