Teachers are represented by the Asociación de Maestros Unidos (AMU), affiliated with the California Teachers Association (CTA) and National Education Association (NEA).
What You’ll Do- Provide academic, behavioral, and transition supports for students
- Deliver instruction aligned to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students in small‑group settings and/or inclusive classrooms in partnership with general education teachers
- Monitor student progress and use data to inform instruction
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality services
- Foster an inclusive, student‑centered learning environment
- Contribute to a positive, mission‑driven school culture
- Knowledge of special education instructional practices and compliance requirements
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and high expectations for students with disabilities
- Ability to pass TB test and background check
- California Education Specialist Intern Credential (intern‑eligible), OR
- Eligible for STSP or PIP with valid CPR certification
Out‑of‑state or non‑credentialed candidates should review eligibility through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Compensation- Credentialed teachers: $71,085 – $127,985
Salary is based on education and years of experience.
