REPORTS TO: School Administrator
SUMMARYThe Response to Intervention Teacher (RTI) is responsible for supporting student achievement with special attention to Tier II and III instruction. The Response to Intervention Teacher (RTI) provides individual or small group instruction to students who are struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance, and collaborating with general education staff.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES- Use evidence-based strategies to teach core subjects such as reading, writing, and math
- Work with teachers to identify students' learning limitations and needs
- Use data to create and implement intervention plans
- Share best practices and co-teach with other teachers
- Provide support for students' social and emotional needs
- Use screening and progress monitoring tools to track student improvement
- Provide information and support to parents and guardians
Bachelor's degree in Education
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS- A valid Arizona teacher certification
Experience in academic intervention and support
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
The working environment is the normal office setting.
