Franklin Educational Services provides personalized, one-on-one academic tutoring and executive functioning coaching for middle school, high school, and college students. Our approach emphasizes strong relationships, individualized instruction, and skill-building strategies that help students strengthen academic performance while developing independence and confidence.
We support students across a wide range of academic needs—from advanced coursework and standardized exams to study skills and executive functioning challenges. Many of our students are enrolled in rigorous programs including the Advanced Placement Program offered through the College Board.
Position OverviewWe are seeking high-level academic tutors to provide 1:1 support for high school and college students, including students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) and college-level coursework.
Sessions may take place in-home or online, depending on student needs. Scheduling varies by family but most sessions occur weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends, making this role ideal for educators, graduate students, or subject-matter experts seeking flexible, meaningful work.
We are particularly interested in tutors who can support rigorous academic subjects and help students develop strong study habits, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence.
What You’ll DoProvide 1:1 tutoring for high school and college students, including support in areas such as:
- AP Calculus AB / BC
- AP Statistics
- AP Biology
- AP Chemistry
- AP Physics
- AP Computer Science
- AP Economics (Macro & Micro)
- AP English Language & Literature
- AP U.S. History / World History
- AP French Language and Culture
- AP Spanish Literature and Culture
- Mathematics
- Science and engineering courses
- Economics/business
- Writing and research
Additional responsibilities include:
- Helping students understand complex academic concepts and complete assignments
- Preparing students for AP exams and college-level tests
- Teaching effective study strategies and executive functioning skills (organization, planning, time management)
- Adapting instruction based on each student’s academic strengths and challenges
- Building student confidence and motivation through supportive mentorship
- Maintaining brief session notes and progress updates
- Communicating professionally with parents/guardians and the Franklin team
- Knowledgeable in advanced high school and/or college-level subjects
- Excellent at explaining complex concepts clearly
- Professional, dependable, and organized
- Strong communicators who can build rapport with students
- Passionate about helping students achieve academic success
- Comfortable working with motivated and high-performing students
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Strong academic background in the subject(s) you tutor
- Experience tutoring or teaching high school or college-level coursework
- Reliable transportation for in-person sessions (if applicable)
- Teaching/Tutoring experience in AP or honors courses
- Experience preparing students for AP exams
- Background in education, tutoring centers, or academic coaching
- Experience supporting students with executive functioning challenges
- Flexible scheduling based on student needs
- Most sessions occur weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends
