Description
BASIC RESPONSIBILITY:Job coaches will maintain effective work placement sites for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities working in various communities in the Supported Employment Program. Job coaches will work on reaching and achieving goals of the organization and supported employment program. The Supported Employment Program includes individual and/or group placements. Job coaches report directly to the Program Innovation Leader and Director of Programs.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Must pass a fingerprint and criminal background check.
- Hold a current California driver’s license.
- Can lift a minimum of 45lbs.
- Strong communication and teambuilding skills.
- Willingness to learn and be flexible to changing State and program requirements.
- Able to be patient and work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a respectful and professional manner.
- Strong computer skills and able to navigate programs for data entry and recording.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

- Staff ensures participants are actively engaged in person centered activities
- Must have a high school diploma or GED, some college preferred.
- Minimum of 3 year of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Bilingual preferred.
- Able to successfully complete organizational provided Red Cross First Aid and CPR Training.
