• Teach assigned courses, including preparation, grading, and holding office hours.
• Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
• Course assignments, including dates, time, and modality, are determined by the Department Chair under the direction of the College Dean.

• Appropriate degree from an accredited university: bachelor’s for lower‑division courses; master’s for upper‑division undergraduate courses; doctoral degree or master’s with substantial teaching experience for graduate courses.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a college level.
• Ability to work effectively in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
• Commitment to student‑centered learning and teaching.
• Proficiency in written and oral use of the English language.

• Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, inclusive environment.
• Relevant work experience and training.

Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary schedule (based on 7/1/2024):

• Lecturer A/2 (FTE): $5,507 – $6,677
• Lecturer B/3 (FTE): $6,221 – $13,224
• Lecturer C/4 (FTE): $6,825 – $14,523
• Lecturer D/5 (FTE): $8,593 – $15,211

The anticipated monthly hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range. Most new faculty lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
