Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a respectful and positive tone to create a happy, engaging atmosphere for your students.
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment to ensure that your students are prepared to learn.
- Execute detailed lesson plans to ensure that your students are engaged and receiving quality lessons during their instructional time.
- Use a multitude of instructional strategies that are academically rigorous and highly engaging. For new teachers, ATS has resources to help you during your assignment.
- Collaborate with the principal and other teachers, working as part of the school community to ensure all students are learning.
- Prior teaching or youth volunteer experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required; state teaching certification, California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) and/or substitute permit is preferred.
- Must possess a background clearance and evidence of TB test results.
- Experience with classroom management techniques is required.
- Strong commitment to keeping and reporting to your school’s assignments on time.
