For California‑Based Educators:

• Possess (or will possess by July
  2026) a valid California Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject or Single Subject credential in Foundational Science or Biology, OR
• Be eligible for a California Single Subject Intern credential in Foundational Science or Biology (must earn an Intern credential by July
  2026), OR
• Hold a Short‑Term Staff Permit (STSP) or Provisional Internship Permit (PIP), ANDhave a valid CPR certification that meets the standards of the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

Notes for Multiple Subject Credential Holders:
If you hold only a Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject credential, you will also need a minimum of 12 post‑secondary semester units in Science courses. Teachers with a Multiple Subject Intern credential cannot be hired.

For Out‑of‑State or Non‑Credentialed Applicants:
Prior to applying, visit the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to assess teaching eligibility in a California public school as of July
2026.

• For credentialed teachers, current salary scale ranges from $71,085 to $127,985, depending on education level and years of experience.
• For aspiring teachers who have yet to obtain their credentials or are currently enrolled in a credentialing program, the salary range is between $62,316 and $63,866.
