St. Lawrence of Brindisi School is seeking an engaging, dedicated Long-Term Substitute Teacher to cover a maternity leave for our 5th and 6th Grade ELA classes from mid-August through mid-October.

This is a turn-key teaching opportunity. Our school features a fully implemented, structured curriculum that is straightforward to utilize, along with direct instructional support and coaching from our academic leadership team.

• Deliver engaging ELA lessons using our established, structured curriculum for 5th and 6th-grade students.
• Manage classroom environment and foster a supportive, faith-filled learning space.
• Assess student progress, grade coursework, and maintain clear communication with school administration.
• Collaborate with academic administrators to ensure a seamless transition for the students.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Education, English, or a related field).
• Experience:
  
  Prior middle school or elementary classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Faith-filled commitment to supporting the mission of Catholic education.

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
