Job OverviewOFY is a network of free, non‑profit public charter schools offering a flexible, personalized approach to learning for students grades 7‑12 who have fallen behind, want to get ahead, or desire a non‑traditional learning environment. OFY’s blended learning model allows students, teachers, and families to design individualized learning plans based on strengths, weaknesses, and career goals.
Responsibilities- Deliver OFY’s educational program and ensure data‑driven, results‑based instruction in the Common Core Standards.
- Provide direct instruction to students for 6 hours a day.
- Teach mastery of the Common Core Standards, knowledge of single‑subject content areas, and develop lesson plans and differentiated curriculum to ensure student success.
- Use assessments and data to influence instruction, while keeping grade, attendance, and retention records.
- Provide targeted interventions for special education students and English Language Learners.
- Participate in community groups, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, teacher training workshops, and assist with state‑mandated student testing.
- Meet with students and parents to discuss student progress and problems.
- BA/BS degree.
- CA preliminary or clear single‑subject teaching credential with English Language Authorization (ELA).
- Certificated to teach.
- Experience with Common Core implementation and data‑driven instruction.
- Internship eligibility preferred.
Bi‑weekly salary ranging from $2,807.70 to $4,038.47, depending on experience.
