Overview
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of 1st Coaching Assistant (12-month) with the appointment tentatively starting on August 3, 2026. This is a Women’s Softball coaching position within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
The PositionThe ideal candidate can show demonstrated coaching and recruiting success, preferably at the collegiate level; excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills; strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes through knowledge and understanding of NCAA regulations; ability to act as a mentor, and sensitivity to equality and diversity issues.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Applicants must have experience in working with students from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
- 3-5 years experience at the college (NCAA Division 1, 2, 3, or community college) level.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications
- An earned BA/BS degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university at time of appointment.

The Athletic Department administers an intercollegiate athletic program sponsoring four men’s teams and six women’s teams. CSUDH competes in NCAA Division II in the CCAA.
