• Provide excellent college‑preparatory instruction to all scholars, maintaining a supportive, achievement‑oriented, and collaborative classroom culture.
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans, instructional materials, and exit tickets aligned to rigorous college‑ready standards.
• Use assessment data—exit tickets, unit tests, interim exams—to differentiate instruction and provide re‑teaching that advances all scholars toward mastery.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure appropriate accommodations and support are available for scholars of diverse learning needs.
• Uphold Alliance values, support the College‑Ready Graduate Profile, and build relationships with faculty, staff, families, and alumni.

• Commitment to the belief that all scholars deserve a quality education and can earn a four‑year college degree.
• Desire to teach in systemically underserved communities and integrate anti‑racist, pro‑Black, student‑centered instruction.
• Strong data‑using skills, technology proficiency, and innovative teaching techniques that drive growth and learner progress.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills with students, families, and colleagues.
• Growth mindset and dedication to continuous professional improvement.

• California teaching credential in the assigned subject area(s) and a valid English Learner Authorization.
• For chemistry teachers:
  California Single Subject Credential in Science:
  Chemistry or Specialized:
  Chemistry (Clear or Preliminary); or equivalent credential.
• Bachelor’s degree. Candidates without a credential must provide transcripts for emergency teaching permit evaluation.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate a pathway to obtaining a California teaching credential or meet the specified credential requirements.
