Tenure-Track Faculty Position Announcement
Position SummaryThe Department of Marketing at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure‑track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach marketing courses such as Consumer Behavior and Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), as well as other foundational courses as the department needs. The role requires an active research pipeline in consumer behavior and related areas.
Responsibilities- Teach core marketing courses, including Consumer Behavior and IMC, and other foundational courses as required.
- Maintain an active research agenda in consumer behavior and related fields.
- Conduct weekly office hours and participate in teaching reviews.
- Attend faculty meetings, serve on departmental committees, and contribute to assessment of student learning.
- Provide service to the department, college, and university, including mentoring students and engaging with a diverse student body.
- Teach on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and/or online as needed.
- Ph.D. in Marketing, or Business or Management with a concentration in Marketing from an AACSB‑accredited institution by the time of appointment (August 2027).
- College or university‑level teaching experience in consumer behavior, IMC, or other foundational marketing courses, in‑person and/or online.
- Evidence of, or clear potential for, publishing marketing research in the consumer behavior area in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Experience engaging with a diverse student body and demonstrating inclusion.
- Use of culturally responsive pedagogy that promotes equitable outcomes.
- Experience creating a student‑centered learning environment.
- Research experience involving students from diverse backgrounds.
- Inclusive mentoring practices.
Priority will be given to applications received by June 30th, 2026. However, the position will remain open until filled.
