Job Summary
As an English Tutor you will be responsible for teaching students of various ages and backgrounds the English language. You will work with students one-on-one or in small groups to improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Your role will also include creating lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and providing feedback to help students achieve their learning goals.
Responsibilities- Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions with students of various ages and backgrounds.
- Assess students' current level of proficiency and develop personalized learning plans.
- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate reading, writing, speaking and listening activities.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessments.
- Native or near‑native proficiency in the English language.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching English as a second language (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and understanding when working with diverse learners.
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
This position offers a competitive salary of $1000 per month.
LocationThis position is based in Los Angeles but we welcome candidates from any nationality who are eligible to work in the United States.
