Position:After-School Cooking Instructor (Chef)
About the Role
As a Cooking Instructor, you'll lead fun, hands-on cooking classes for elementary, middle and high school students in our after-school programs. You'll help children build confidence in the kitchen while teaching healthy eating habits, basic culinary skills, teamwork, and creativity in a safe and engaging environment.
Responsibilities- Lead interactive, hands-on cooking classes for children.
- Teach age-appropriate cooking techniques and kitchen safety.
- Prepare ingredients and organize class materials before each session.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed.
- Work with the Cooking With Gabby team to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
- Clean and organize the kitchen and classroom after each class.
- Professional chef, culinary graduate, culinary student, or equivalent culinary experience required.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Food Handler Card (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Part-time
- Weekday afternoons
