Position descriptionThe Department of Physics & Astronomy at the UCLA College of Letters and Sciences invites highly qualified applicants for temporary instructor positions for the 2026-27 Academic Year. This is a temporary, non-tenure teaching track appointment, on a part-time basis and made quarter by quarter, as dictated by instructional needs.
Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, and the writing and grading of exams and problem sets.
Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D., several tears of professional teaching experience and a demonstrated record of distinguished graduate teaching or proven expertise in the area of Quantum Information Science.
Candidates should provide a curriculum vitae. The Final date to receive applications is November 30, 2026, however, the search will remain open until any positions are filled.
