Position descriptionThe Division of General Internal Medicine & Health Services Research, Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applicants for an Adjunct faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank. In this position, the candidate will conduct research in one or more of the following areas: health services research, quality improvement, implementation science, and clinical research, including clinical trials and real-world pragmatic trials.
Primary responsibilities include working closely with the Chief Quality Officer to design, implement, oversee, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and clinical effectiveness pathways across primary and specialty care divisions, while also serving as senior administrator for the Department of Medicine Quality Office.
The candidate will be required to engage in creative activities, including, but not limited to, publications, presentations, and community service. The candidate will also be required to devote time to research and education. Duties include teaching medical, residents, fellows, graduate students, and postdoctoral trainees.
The candidate must hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D.,
D.Sc., or equivalent) with a focus on program evaluation and quality improvement and possess at least 5 years of relevant work experience within a large, complex academic health system.

A doctoral level degree (Ph.D.,
D.Sc., or equivalent) is required.
Additional qualifications
