Part-time Academic Tutors

Hayutin Education specializes in working one-on-one with students of all ages and learning profiles. We are currently seeking dynamic, experienced educators looking for part-time in-person work,
particularly in the mid-city area
, for the current school year. We are looking for educators that can commit to any given student for the duration of the school year. Our students vary in age and ability, from K-12th grade, gifted to mildly learning disabled. This is a part-time role and provides supplementary income only.
** Driving to in-person sessions is an essential job function for this position.

Ideally, we are looking for educators available to work in:
LA mid-city areas
including Miracle Mile, Mid-Wilshire, Palms, Pico-Robertson, Hancock Park and nearby areas

Educators who can tutor a combination of humanities and STEM subjects at the high school level are strongly preferred.

• English: literature support through AP and college level, as well as instruction in analytical writing
• History
  : through AP levels in Modern World, United States, and European History
• Math
  :
  Algebra through AP Calculus
• Science
  :
  Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Anatomy & Physiology, Astronomy (through AP level)

Pay: $50.00-$57.50 per hour for in-person sessions, commensurate with experience.
** Occasionally students might need to meet virtually due to special circumstances. Pay for virtual sessions would be in the range of $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.

-Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher
-Prior tutoring or teaching experience required

-Ability to tutor a combination of humanities and STEM subjects at the high school level strongly preferred

-Available weekday afternoons and evenings for at least 5-10 hours per week
-Access to an automobile (and must be insured) for driving to in-person sessions
