Job Summary FLOATER Full Time Field Service Technician and MKAT – Los Angeles, CA

Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Field Service Technician and Minute Key Automotive Technician (MKAT) in the Los Angeles, CA area to travel and support the Greater Southern California Area
.You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon).

This role will also be focused on automotive key duplication and vehicle programming
.

The territory consists of multiple kiosks and number of hours per week is around 40
. This role is based on experienced, typically paying $24-25 an hour with additional bonuses from completed third party repairs
. Company car will be provided along with cell-phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles.

• Auto key programming and duplicating and programming vehicles. Ideal for candidates with technical experience and locksmith history.
• Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule).
• Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order.
• New kiosk Installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area.
• Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
• Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech’s possession.
• Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred).
• Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service (preferred).
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred).
• Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
• Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical “jargon”.

• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to always represent Hillman professionally
• Ability to work weekends when required
• The MKAT will have basic mechanical and electro-mechanical skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions very carefully.

• Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license. Clean driving record is mandatory. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates.
• Must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement) if company car is not provided
• Must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed)

Sales/Service:
Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Function vision and hearing required.

Sales/Service:
Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
