Senior Electrical Engineer (Hardware Systems)

Their platform integrates sensing, real-time control, high-performance computing, and robotics to deliver next-generation industrial capabilities.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of custom electronic systems that power complex, automated machinery. This individual will play a critical role in architecting and delivering reliable, production-ready hardware platforms that integrate sensing, motion control, embedded computing, and high-speed communications.

This is a hands‑on, full lifecycle hardware role suited for someone who thrives on solving technically challenging problems and building systems from first principles.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and validate custom electronic hardware for advanced automation systems
• Define electrical system requirements and drive hardware development from concept through production
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, simulation, and PCB design collaboration
• Develop prototypes, conduct bring‑up, and lead debugging using laboratory instrumentation
• Integrate embedded processors, FPGAs, sensors, and high‑speed interfaces
• Support manufacturing transition, validation, and test strategy development
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with mechanical, software, firmware, and systems engineering teams
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across digital, analog, and mixed‑signal domains

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience developing complex electronic hardware systems
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals
• Experience designing and testing analog and digital circuits
• Hands‑on experience with schematic capture, board bring‑up, and hardware debugging
• Ability to take ownership of projects from early architecture through release

Preferred Experience

• 8+ years of hardware development experience, including full product lifecycle ownership
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGA-based designs
• Familiarity with high‑speed digital interfaces and data acquisition systems
• Experience working with robotics, automation systems, or electromechanical platforms
• Exposure to motion control systems and precision sensing technologies
• Background in developing hardware for production environments
