Senior Electrical Engineer (Hardware Systems)

Their platform integrates sensing, real-time control, high-performance computing, and robotics to deliver next-generation industrial capabilities.
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of custom electronic systems that power complex, automated machinery. This individual will play a critical role in architecting and delivering reliable, production-ready hardware platforms that integrate sensing, motion control, embedded computing, and high-speed communications.
This is a hands‑on, full lifecycle hardware role suited for someone who thrives on solving technically challenging problems and building systems from first principles.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and validate custom electronic hardware for advanced automation systems
- Define electrical system requirements and drive hardware development from concept through production
- Perform component selection, schematic capture, simulation, and PCB design collaboration
- Develop prototypes, conduct bring‑up, and lead debugging using laboratory instrumentation
- Integrate embedded processors, FPGAs, sensors, and high‑speed interfaces
- Support manufacturing transition, validation, and test strategy development
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with mechanical, software, firmware, and systems engineering teams
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across digital, analog, and mixed‑signal domains
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience developing complex electronic hardware systems
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals
- Experience designing and testing analog and digital circuits
- Hands‑on experience with schematic capture, board bring‑up, and hardware debugging
- Ability to take ownership of projects from early architecture through release
Preferred Experience
- 8+ years of hardware development experience, including full product lifecycle ownership
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGA-based designs
- Familiarity with high‑speed digital interfaces and data acquisition systems
- Experience working with robotics, automation systems, or electromechanical platforms
- Exposure to motion control systems and precision sensing technologies
- Background in developing hardware for production environments
