dsk has several long-term healthcare clients who offer many project types all over California, from ground up construction to infrastructure upgrades and interior renovations of existing facilities. The Job Captain will play a critical role in providing technical translation of the project design and delivering effective and rigorous documentation under supervision of the Project Manager/Architect. The ideal candidate is skilled in developing and coordinating architectural drawings with a focus on constructability, code compliance, coordination with team members, and implementation of dsk and industry standards.
The successful candidate is resourceful and highly organized.
- Documentation & detailing – prepare design and construction documentation and presentations.
- Coordination – coordinate with team members as well as public agencies and jurisdictions for planning/building approvals and permits.
- Research – work with vendors/representatives for equipment and materials research and selection.
- Organization – facilitate documentation and administrative organization for projects; be able to balance the needs of multiple projects.
- Minimum 3 years professional experience
- Knowledge of OSHPD/HCAI regulations preferred, not required
- Excellent technical and design skills
- Working understanding of building codes and other regulations
- Experience with materials research and selection
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam
- Experience with rendering and graphic software/plug-ins such as Adobe CS and/or Enscape preferred, not required
- Must be able and willing to travel outside of local area to attend meetings at various sites
