Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for an Engineering Test Technician Level 3 or 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Advanced Weapons business unit located in Northridge, CA
. As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons
, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighters.

This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Northridge, CA location. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position. Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD security clearance.

• Provide clear directions to production team, ensuring development and production goals are met, risks are mitigated, and issues are driven in a timely manner.
• Identify improvements related to throughput and measurement accuracy to enhance quality, cost reduction, operational performance, and improve equipment effectiveness.
• Support internal program and business leadership by preparing and delivering briefs, risk assessments, and equipment readiness.
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting and coordinate with different support groups daily.
• May be required to assist with engineering evaluation or troubleshooting.

• High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of industry-related experience.
• Experience reading technical drawings, part lists, and component data sheets.
• Experience in using Specialty Test Equipment (STE) in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, self-motivation, leadership.
• Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship required).

• High school diploma/GED & 6+ years of industry related experience.
• Experience reading technical drawings, part lists, and component data sheets.
• Experience in using Specialty Test Equipment (STE) in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, teamwork, self-motivation, leadership.
• Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship required).

• Familiar with FQT and Corona certification process.
• Experience leading a team of 6 or more Test technicians.
• 8 years or more of industry-related experience with Special Test Equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of Special Test Equipment which allows for minimal supervision.
• Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.

Primary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $

Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
