- Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling;
- Water resources systems analysis;
- Water supply planning;
- Spatial analysis and database management;
- Numerical modeling;
- Literature review and synthesis;
- Helping broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences;
- Technical document preparation, including technical writing and creation of exhibits and maps; and
- Watershed planning, stormwater management, and TMDL implementation.
Requirements (Education, Level of Experience, etc.)
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources science or closely related field with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources science, or closely related field with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (preferred)
- Professional Engineer license. (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of research or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Hydraulic and hydrologic analysis and modeling. (required)
- Water resources systems analysis. (required)
- Water supply planning. (preferred)
- Experience with programming such as Python, R, or ability to learn to use other coding platforms. (required)
- Experience with modeling and design software tools such as EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
- Experience or interest in groundwater modeling. (preferred)
- Experience or interest in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). (preferred) and
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
