We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and support construction projects with a focus on Division of the State Architect (DSA) oversight. The ideal candidate will provide technical and administrative support throughout the construction lifecycle, helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and high quality of standards. This role supports project documentation, coordination, and quality control efforts while working closely with project managers, field teams, and other stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITES:DSA Technical Support
- Prepare and coordinate comprehensive DSA submittal packages.
- Monitor and track testing inspection processes.
- Review construction documentation to ensure DSA compliance.
- Manage and track RFIs and submittals efficiently.
- Organize and maintain DSA documentation and filing systems.
- Assist with documentation and coordination for Design‑Bid‑Building projects.
- Support cost analysis and documentation for Lease‑Leaseback projects.
- Maintain compliance and documentation for CUPCCAA projects.
- Process and evaluate CMAS quotes.
- Assist with design and constructability review processes
- Coordinate internal and external drawing reviews.
- Review project specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare site observation reports and documentation.
- Maintain project photo documentation to track construction progress.
- Assist with the preparation and updating of as‑built drawings.
- Coordinate and process inspection requests.
- Document non‑compliance issues and track corrective actions.
- Maintain project cost tracking systems
- Update and maintain project schedules.
- Process and track progress payment documentation.
- Maintain electronic document control systems, including project records, drawings, specifications, and submittal logs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination.
- Demonstrated experience with DSA projects is required.
- Familiarity with public work projects is preferred.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with strong process and task management skills is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
