RoleSummary
We are seeking a driven and curious Design Engineer focused on land development design. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical expertise, and contributing to complex infrastructure projects that support our mission of creating environmentally and socially regenerative solutions.
Minimum Skills- Typically industry internship experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Civil and/or Environmental
- Sound judgment in applying standard methods to conventional and innovative work
- Ability to work with multiple site base files in differing coordinate frames and units
- Knowledge of topographic information and design
- Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and cloud‑based collaboration tools (Google Apps, Asana, Dropbox, SharePoint, etc.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of civil design programs (Civil 3D, Hydro
CAD, Flowmasters, Storm
CAD, etc.) - Familiarity with graphics programs (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
- Certifications or sustainability‑oriented accreditation (LEED, EIT, etc.)
- Understanding of GIS principles
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
- Conduct physical site assessment and field visits
- Research, understand, and summarize regulatory requirements for residential, commercial, industrial, and public works projects
- Collect and process data
- Perform numerical computations in civil engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management
- Prepare technical reports, project specifications, and cost estimates
- Create and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Use drafting tools and CAD software for design work
- Oversee project construction to ensure adherence to design specifications
- Ensure compliance with local zoning, ordinances, and national regulations
- Part ownership with ESOP eligibility after one year

The wage range for this role is approximately $73,000 to $82,000, based on factors such as skill set, experience, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Geographic differentials are reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.
