Position OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in HVAC and plumbing design while creating detailed energy models and performing energy audits for diverse campus environments, including manufacturing facilities and healthcare systems. Our focus is on sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Designing HVAC and plumbing systems from basic to highly complex levels to meet our clients’ requirements. This involves HVAC master planning, co-generation systems, and energy systems, while aiming to enhance sustainability and efficiency.
- Conducting heating and cooling load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, equipment selection, and system layouts, while ensuring cohesive collaboration with other design disciplines.
- Developing comprehensive energy models and conducting Life Cycle Cost Analysis for various building types.
- Performing energy audits (Level 1 through
3) to analyze energy consumption, evaluate HVAC performance, and recommend energy-saving measures. - Conducting site surveys, evaluating proposed energy efficiency measures, and suggesting improvements based on thorough assessments.
- Collaborating with sales teams to create compelling proposals in response to client RFPs, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Attending industry conferences and events to represent the firm and broaden the visibility of our products and services.
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff while reviewing their work for adherence to quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience; equivalent additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Flexibility for domestic and/or international travel based on project demands.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary work environment.
- Ability to interpret building system engineering documents.
- Familiarity with energy modeling software such as eQuest and Trane 3D.
- Certification as an Energy Manager is advantageous.

CompensationThe pay range for this position is between $91,478 and $160,118, with discretionary bonuses available.
