We are seeking an Associate Principal to serve as both a technical leader and a key contributor to the firm’s continued growth. This individual will lead project teams, oversee complex structural designs, and play an active role in client development and relationship management.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of large, complex structural projects
- Oversee and mentor teams of engineers and BIM/modeling staff
- Manage client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
- Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and market sectors
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure successful project outcomes
- Support overall project execution including scheduling, coordination, and quality control
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience (building design focus)
- Strong background in steel and concrete structural systems
- SE license required
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering projects
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships
- Strong technical expertise with a recognized area of strength (market or system type)
- Experience with seismic design and California codes preferred
- Exposure to DSA or HCAI/OSHPD projects is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills
