What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement innovative RF desense solutions (hardware and software) to ensure robust system performance.
- Collaborate with RF, antenna, electrical, mechanical, and software teams to integrate RF systems into Spectacles products and ensure compliance with performance standards.
- Conduct rigorous lab and OTA testing of RF systems, perform sensitivity and coexistence testing (LTE, 5G, WiFi, GNSS, Bluetooth, etc.), and validate performance against industry standards.
- Characterize desense caused by internal aggressors (CPU, memory, power converters, displays, etc.) and external interfere rs; trace root causes using probes, shielding tests, grounding checks, and layout reviews.
- Identify system performance bottlenecks (impacts) due to antenna, RF board, assembly dependencies, and multi-radio operation.
- Develop and execute coexistence test plans and generate validation reports.
- Author clear and comprehensive documentation.
- Strong RF, antenna, EMI, EMC, and coexistence engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of wireless communication standards including WiFi, Bluetooth, BLE, GPS, 4G LTE, and 5G.
- Knowledge of board-level design strategies for desense and EMI minimization, signal integrity, and isolation.
- Experience with high-speed digital interfaces such as MIPI CSI/DSI, PCIe, SDIO/eMMC, and UFS.
- Proven ability to use common RF and electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power supplies).
- Understanding of RF PCB design, impedance matching, and filter tuning.
- Proficiency with RF simulation/design tools (e.g., CST Microwave Studio, Keysight ADS, XFdtd).
- Excellent process development and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%).
- 10+ years of experience in electrical, RF, and/or computer engineering.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in wireless, electromagnetics, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of ESD principles for consumer electronics.

Compensation:- Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $229,000 - $343,000 annually.
- Zone B: $218,000 - $326,000 annually.
- Zone C: $195,000 - $292,000 annually.
- Eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
